SIR MICHAEL PARKINSON SETS GRAND OPERA HOUSE DATE THIS MAY

SD Entertainment are pleased to announce Sir Michael Parkinson will bring his highly successful and critically acclaimed ‘An Evening with’ show to the Grand Opera House, Belfast on Wednesday 17 May 2017.

Tickets go on sale this tomorrow at 10am.

An Evening with Sir Michael Parkinson celebrates the life and career of a man who in over 50 years in the business, has interviewed over 2000 of the most important cultural figures of the 20th and 21st centuries and won awards for journalism, radio and television broadcasting.

In conversation with his son Mike and showing highlights from the Parkinson archive, An Evening with Sir Michael Parkinson is a unique opportunity to get an intimate, entertaining and informative look at his remarkable journey from a pit village in Yorkshire to the top of those famous stairs whilst reliving the best moments from a show that for many defined their Saturday night.

“This show is a reminder that for a time I had the best job in the World.  It’s a funny, informative and insightful show that gives the audience a ringside seat for my favourite and most memorable interviews.” Sir Michael added “I hope the audience at the Grand Opera House will enjoy watching it half as much as I enjoy doing it!”

In over 50 years both on the BBC and ITV he has interviewed everyone from Muhammad Ali, John Lennon, Fred Astaire, James Cagney, John Wayne, Lauren Bacall, Kenneth Williams, George Best, Madonna, Billy Connolly, Peter Kay, David Beckham and Sir Michael Caine to name but a few.
