Bagatelle to celebrate 40 Years with Intimate Tyrone show.
Irish music legends Bagatelle have confirmed a very special intimate summer concert at the Bardic Theatre, Donaghmore on Saturday 17th August as part of their continuing forty year celebrations. Tickets are on sale now and limited to 200 only.
To celebrate their phenomenal 40 years on the road, Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO) recently hosted a special evening of live music and chat with Bagatelle on the 30th January this year. On the night they were presented with a special IMRO Award in recognition of their 40th Anniversary and contribution to Original Irish music .
Over those 40 years they’ve had several No 1 singles with Iconic songs like Summer In Dublin, Second Violin, Trump Card. Platinum and Gold Album sales also followed along with classic emigration songs like Streets Of New York, Flight of The Earls, Boston Rose all written of course by Bagatelle Hit Man Liam Reilly, who still fronts them to this day.
Bagatelle started in 1978 at a time when original bands weren’t all that successful in Ireland. In fact the idea of a band touring nationwide with a full original music set just didn’t work………for most!
They have shared stages with world famous legends like Bob Marley, John Denver, The Pogues, Duran Duran, The Pretenders, Van Morrison, U2, UB40, George Micheal, Jose Feliciano. The list is endless!
Three years ago they completed their “Final Year Tour!” A retirement took place (for all of about 3 months!) however they got bored not touring, then played a major series of “One For The Road“ SOLD OUT gigs all across Ireland to great public acclaim.
Tickets for their Saturday 17th August show at Bardic Theatre are on sale now from Stewart’s Music Shop, Dungannon – Tel: 028 87 725 286 and online from www.BardicTheatre.com.
