Marco Mendoza is one of a kind. Equipped with a depth of experience gained over 30 years playing for some of the biggest names in rock as well as contemporary artists, his larger than life personality always makes his solo shows unique. Marco comes from a very musical family and started playing the guitar at an early age. Marco is perhaps mostly known for his work with a number of rock bands and artists such as Thin Lizzy, Blue Murder, Whitesnake ,Ted Nugent, Neal Schon and Soul SirkUS, Lynch Mob, as well as diverse artists such as Dolores O’Riordan from the Cranberries. He is currently touring with The Dead Daisies and his solo band.
Marco lives in Los Angeles and when he's not touring he can often be found playing local jazz clubs with Joey Heredia and Renato Neto and other great musicians.

The Los Angeles native who has a proud Spanish/Mexican heritage has usually been found in the past holding down the bass rock foundation with artists like Neal Schon (Journey), Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy, Ted Nugent and The Dead Daisies as well as contemporary artists like Dolores O’Riordan.
The last album was recorded in Copenhagen with the multi-talented Soren Andersen at the helm. The Soren / Marco collaboration proved to be the right way forward with the chemistry exploding in the studio, writing and producing some of the finest new rock songs that are screaming out to be heard through a radio somewhere in the world. This is why they continued their collaboration for his 2020 album. “VIVA LA ROCK!! Is a celebration of Music, Life & Rock & Roll, Peace and Love!” stated Marco.
With the title track of the last album ‘Viva La Rock’ thrusting out of the speakers as a worthy invitation to come and listen, Marco then takes you on a rollercoaster of musical emotions and sounds with a number of potential hit singles like ‘Rocketman’, ‘Sue is on the Run’ and the ballad ‘Leah’. ‘Shoot For The Stars’, ‘Take It To the Limit’ and ‘New Direction’ carry on that blueprint in his latest album.
With a cauldron full of influences caressing Marcos' Rock sound including blues, funk and R&B, there is something for everyone that loves great music, and for good measure there a little of his past thrown in with a visit to ‘Chinatown’ from Thin Lizzy, complete with a guest appearance by Guns N’ Roses guitarist Richard Fortus and Danish star Mike Tramp on additional vocals, then the Ted Nugent cover ‘Hey Baby’.
Global Rock icon Marco Mendoza who has enjoyed stints with world famous bands including Journey, Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy, The Dead Daisies, Ted Nugent and more, will begin an 11 date ireland and UK run including first ever solo band performances in Dublin, Westport in Ireland and Hastings in England. Joining him on the road for these shows is Chris Allan (Story of Guitar Legends, Dan Byrne) and Drew Lowe (Inglorious, Boy George). Tickets go on sale tomorrow Tuesday 05 March at 10am.
