Who is Jack J Hutchinson? A blues troubadour? A Southern rockin’ songsmith? A guitar-shredding warrior? The fedora-wearing rocker wears all of these with so much buried within.Hutchinson has walked long, hard miles to this point, and the road strewn with obstacles, frustration and difficulties builds resilience and hunger. Nothing worth having comes easily.

“One of the things that’s kept me going is that I can kinda take the punches and keep going,” he says with a casual defiance. “A lot has happened over the years. I’ve learnt that the one person I can rely on is myself. The only way I’ve found myself dealing with it all is to channel it into creativity.”

Hutchinson’s brand new album ‘Battles’ builds on the momentum gained having shared bills across the planet with bands including Blackberry Smoke, ZZ Top and Jeff Beck. The record crash landed in the UK Official Independent Album Chart Top 20, gaining over 120K streams in its first week alone. It features two Planet Rock playlisted tracks – ‘Constellations’ and ‘Bullets’ – plus ‘Days Are Gone’, which was featured on the BBC Radio 2 Rock Show.

Hutchinson takes the album on the road throughout 2024, building on a 10 year touring career that has included multiple headline tours of the UK, America, Brazil, Spain and Czech Republic, plus festival appearances in Germany, Switzerland and France.
